This one day workshop will give us a general introduction to the philosophical and practical application of the Anusara Yoga principles of alignment for our own practice and in adjusting others. By the end of the day we will be able to reconnect more consciously with the heart quality of yoga.

Simona's professional background is in Psychology and she has also studied Classical ballet. Subsequent studies in Dance Movement Therapy increased her awareness of how inextricably the mind, body and inner spirit are linked. She initially trained as a Sivananda Yoga teacher in 1998, however, her love of yoga drew her to other styles of yoga including Iyenga, Ashtanga vinyasa and Vinyasa Flow. Over the last 4 years she has had the privilege of studying with Bridget Woods-Kramer and John Friend as an Anusara teacher and has gained Anusara Inspired Status. Simona has been practising yoga for 12 years and teaching yoga for 10 and has continued her yoga training and teaching while living in Sydney and the UK. She teaches at Yoga Bodhi, a dedicated yoga centre in Bath that she also runs. Simona is also responsible for teaching subtle anatomy and children's yoga on The Yoga Academy Teachers Training Course with Simon Low. Simona's classes are both fun and challenging and encourage playful exploration of both the spiritual and physical aspects of yoga. Simona emphasises in her teaching that we may practise yoga in a group, but that the practice of yoga in itself is a very unique journey.

The morning will explore Solar Salutations looking at foundations and alignment with modifications of key asana, weaving them together in a creative sequencing workshop which will include side angles, backbends and twists. After lunch, the challenging morning session will be balanced by Lunar Salutations using the wall, partners and belts to develop a slow flow sequence. Deep forward bends and inversions will be explored.

Liz Lark has an Arts background which has inspired her to base her practice on this method, with different sequences based on themes of movement. The practices align the body ‘from the ground up’ and include hips, shoulders, thoracic release and spinal mobility. Liz aims to make the postures and sequences accessible for all levels. Props and modifications will be encouraged where necessary.

The more we are disturbed, the more our energy is scattered. Disturbances in our energy can originate from or affect any level of our existence, and for many reasons we may not see them or we may choose to ignore them. If we do see, then we only observe their affect and often don’t know what to do; perhaps we cannot direct our energy because there something inside that is stopping us. One interesting definition of ‘yogi’ is ‘one whose energy is within the body’. Here we see energy is an expression of something more than just the body and we use the practices of the tools of yoga to bring the maximum of energy inside so we can live our lives to the fullest rather than dissipating our energy at every opportunity.

Structure of sessions
These two short workshops will be signposts clearly pointing in a direction most often surrounded by metaphor in teachings. The ability to contain and direct energy only becomes apparent when guided through experiences and then with continued practice. Many of us have know the tools of yoga and practice them regularly, each of them has purpose and reason associated with energy.

In the morning we will lay a foundation beginning physically and then the session will continue to be broken into further practice, workshop, question and answer. All done with careful guidance to ensure that there is opportunity to comprehend the direction being presented and their function in managing energy.

The afternoon will build on the work we do in the morning incorporating a number of yoga-s more subtle tools.

Colin Dunsmuir is a practitioner of Yoga based in South West London who is known for his experience, knowledge, caring and passion. He represents the fullness of the lineage of Professor T. Krishnamacharya through the Krishnamacharya Healing and Yoga Foundation (KHYF) as a Yoga Teacher Trainer and has completed four years of Yoga Therapy Training under the direct tutelage of both TKV Desikachar and his son Kausthub Desikachar. As such he has spent considerable time practicing and studying at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, India. Colin is also a British Wheel of Yoga Diploma Course Tutor. Besides contributing to both Yoga Teacher and Therapy trainings, mentoring existing Yoga Teachers and teaching at specific workshops, Colin has considerable focus and experience of Yoga as both an evolutionary practice and also as a therapy. He also supports this with ongoing study of ayur-veda in the same tradition.

Mohini has travelled both the external world and her internal world. In an ever-evolving teaching methodology, stemmed deeply in personal experiential practice, join her for this one- day personal exploration workshop.
Feel the pulse and invitation to move inside, yielding to the element of water, feminine or Ying aspect of the practice. With meditative or focussed awareness, expressed wilfully and externally through the fire, masculine or Yang aspect of the practice. Experience the magnetic attraction and synthesis.

Mohini draws on her experience of Vipassana and Metta meditation practices, Patanjali’s Eightfold Path of Yoga and the unique expression of personal energy or Shakti. The day offers an opportunity for still and fluid physical expression, deep relaxation and the potential of profound insight and intuitive wisdom. Her teachers include Erich Schiffmann, Clive Sheridan, Sarah Powers, John Ding and Burgs.

The morning will be active Yang practice, the afternoon Yin passively active, culminating in the merger of both Yin and Yang. Meditation, Relaxation and Sound will be offered to frame our experiences of both polarities, in the unique merging expression of a ‘Yogaflow™’.

Mohini, a BWY Diploma holder, has a background in theatre and performing arts and is the author of the book, ‘Yogaflows’.

If you want an energetic day of Yoga then this is the day for you. In the morning we will explore the key asanas, opening the hips and shoulders. The liberation and movement within poses will encourage a yielding within the body, whilst establising a solid grounding to deepen stability and connection with the earth. we will incorporate blocks, belt & wall to enhance alignment and strength, whilst working on deeply releasing the hips and shoulders.
the afternoon will be more chilled. Incorporating sound and music to inspire. We will develop slow flow sequences to connect to the centre of the body, developing cleansing twists, creative side angles and arm balances. To close our practise Liz will guide you through Yoga Nidra - a deep relaxation.

Uses creative exercises to take the fear out of marketing and help you enjoy it
Looks at how to identify and connect with your marketplace and how your business communications can speak from the heart
Shows you how to get started and how to build a bite-sized plan
Offers quick tips - little things you can do that make an impact
Looks at marketing as a flow of energy through your business
Introduces systematic mapping exercises or 'constellations'
Investigates what might be in the way of your progress, to resolve potential blocks
Explores what help and support are available to you, on both an energetic and practical level
Ensures your marketing plan is adequately resourced and ready to go

Sarah James works as a systematic organizational consultant and coach: 'I have specialized in PR, marketing and communications for 20 years, working with small, medium and global-sized companies, across a range of industry sectors, from entertainment industry to business publishing; but I always come back to working with clients with holistic focus because I love and share their passion for being of service to others.'
